I made one of my rare Saturday visits to central London on the 13th of June to hear Steve Gosling talk about his pinhole camera experiences and his new book 'Lensless Landscapes' at Silverprint at Waterloo.
Steve who is a professional Landscape photographer has recently completed a body of work using the Zero Image Pinhole camera and as a user of the same piece of low tech kit I was very interested in seeing Steve's work.
I must admit as I walked through the entrance of Silverprint I was bowled over by the images that had been hung on the wall. Landscapes, dreamy and moody and big prints as well, all printed on an epson using Permajet Museum Classic paper. Steve Outlined his methodology and described how some of the images had come about. Steve is obviously very enthusiastic about his photography and cares a lot about the post production side of image making and it shows in his output.
'Lensless Landscapes' a limited issue signed edition is available from Steve's website or Silverprint and is highly recommended as a source of inspiration for Pinhole Photographers. The exhibition of his work will run in Silverprint's premises until the middle of August.
Topped of with a couple of pints it was a fine afternoon.
